4/5 ⭐️
“I never had the luxury of being greedy. I had to learn how to stretch out the things I wanted, break them into pieces just to make them last.”
Yet another absolute delight from B.K. Borison. This girl just knows how to write characters that you will fall in love and root for throughout.
It did feel a bit more insta-lovey than First-Time Caller (they have known each other for years but the actual romance happens in a very short period of time) but I still had an amazing time with it.
The Appalachian setting is beautiful and the story takes us on a gentle journey of Jackson and Delilah learning that accepting help and support does not make them weak. They truly are the perfect fit for each other.
Jackson is one of the most relatable characters ever cause I also think a kiss from Delilah would fix all my problems.
This book is ode to women who find strength in their softness and men who love deeply even when hurt.
And no third act break up?? Just gentle love and calm (non-romance) conflict resolution?? THANK YOU BECS.
(Also a delightful set up for book 3 in the Heartstrings series that I KNOW I’m going to be obsessed with.)
