Summary:

One Cabin. One Bed. One Rule: don’t fall in love . . .

Dylan likes to know exactly where things are going. With her career, her family, her relationship, and, well, everything else. From spreadsheets to themed Pinterest boards, she’s meticulously planned out every aspect of her life for as long as she can remember.

Max, meanwhile, always lives in the moment. The world’s too full of beautiful places – and beautiful people – to let yourself be tied down. Besides, he’s learnt the hard way that no future is ever guaranteed.

So when Dylan’s broken up with she’s left reeling, with no concrete plans for the first time in her life. Perhaps that’s why she finds herself agreeing to a totally off-piste proposition – share a cabin for the summer with her friend’s brother during his all-expenses-paid travel influencer trip to the pristine Welsh coast.

It’s not like six weeks is long enough to throw your entire life off course or anything. Right?

Review:

“Even when all we are is energy, I’ll find your soul in the stardust and keep loving you there, too.”

So that’s two years in a row that Georgia Stone delivers the best read of the year IN JANUARY.

Georgia gives us relationships that are so incredibly tender; characters (both main and side) that relatable and lovable and locations that are so vivid they will have you booking summer holidays immediately. It truly feels like a privilege to be able to read her writing. And she LOVES good, healthy communication and I ADORE her for it.

“Maybe it’s a coincidence when she squeezes my hand three times. My heart can’t tell the difference.”

Do you love that one The Holiday scene “she asked ‘are there any men in your town’ and I assured her there were NOT” ? You’re gonna love Ava and Max’s sibling dynamic.

And the epilogue?? The epilogue!! If you’ve read Georgia’s first book, The Friendship Fling, it will have you screaming and crying.

What else is there to say? Here’s to reformed people pleasers and second chances. Go read this book when you can!

I’m Edith

A 30-something with too much free time on her hands, too many hobbies to count, an extraordinarily long TBR and multiple long running shows on the go at any given time.

Not-so-recent Psychology and Library Studies graduate that mainly uses her expensive degrees to overanalyse media she hyperfixates on.

Lives in an old country cottage, on an edge of a small Scottish village with her anxious collie.

Discovered Call of Cthulu podcasts and a board-game-playing YouTube channel and made it her whole personality for a while.
